One of the most popular locations for dog sledding is Kiruna, home to Sweden’s highest mountain. Here chances of seeing the Northern Lights are high, and the surrounding area offers a variety of husky sledding tours, ranging from a few hours to several days in duration. Kiruna Airport also makes travelling from the UK relatively straightforward.
Jukkasjärvi (about 30 mins drive from Kiruna) is known for the famous Icehotel, but it’s also a great place to embark on your husky sledding trip. You can combine your sledding adventure with a stay at the Icehotel for a truly unique Arctic experience that you’ll be telling all your friends about! Jukkasjarvi is however much smaller than Kiruna but is equally accessible.
